Absolutely loved the rooftop deck and the cozy lounge. Free bike rentals made exploring the area a blast!
Felt cared for, no reason to complain.

This place suits me perfectly! Great amenities like 24-hour reception, delicious dining options, and a bar area. The staff helped me with local taxi info during my first stay, which was memorable. I can't wait to return for a romantic escape!

honestly, charmant was a fantastic surprise! the breakfast was delicious and incredibly reasonable. we loved the rooftop bar – it was the perfect spot to unwind after a day of exploring. it’s such a great location right on the banks of the mississippi, close to everything including parks, shops, and restaurants. the gym also had nice open space for working out.

There was a lot to appreciate at this charming hotel, such as the attentive staff and a beautiful room with a unique design. However, the valet parking fees seemed excessive, and the noise from the rooftop terrace was quite disruptive. Overall, a lovely experience with room for improvement.

Stylish and Comfortable with a Great Rooftop
I recently enjoyed a wonderful stay in a spacious and comfortable room that showcased charming decor blending historical elements with modern conveniences. The highlight for me was the rooftop bar, where I sipped craft cocktails while taking in stunning views of the river and city. The dining experience was also top-notch with delicious options available, especially the creative breakfast offerings. However, there were a few areas in the hotel that seemed unfinished or in need of maintenance.

A delightful stay in a historic venue with charming decor, complete with amazing breakfast options and fantastic bar snacks, including local cheese curds. The ambiance struck a beautiful balance between nostalgia and luxury, making the space feel special. However, some areas seemed unfinished, and there was no fitness center or spa, which was disappointing given the otherwise upscale offerings. Nonetheless, the experience was still enjoyable due to the welcoming atmosphere.

The Charmant offered a unique stay with its blend of history and modern comfort. The lobby had a charming vibe, featuring original candy factory elements. Staff greeted me warmly upon arrival. The Classic Salle King room had exposed brick, which added character, though the large whitewashed beam across the ceiling detracted from the aesthetic. The bed felt luxurious and provided a restful sleep. I loved the rooftop terrace. it was a perfect spot for wood-fired pizza during sunset. Coffee at the coffee shop was decent, but overpriced, especially for a hotel. Dining at the onsite restaurant was mostly enjoyable with an outstanding entree, though the appetizers were hit or miss. The breakfast spread was good, but the menu felt limited. Service was inconsistent. I faced slow drink service at the rooftop bar, and the coffee situation left more to be desired. Despite a few hiccups, the location just a couple blocks from the riverwalk was fantastic, making the whole experience a memorable one.

The rooftop bar's wood-fired pizzas hit the spot, and the breakfast spread was deceptively reasonable for such a classy spot. Plus, the charm of dining in the former chocolate factory gives every meal a sweet twist.
The care in the room was noticeably off this time—low supplies and a long wait for a clean-up left us wanting more. Not the usual sparkle we expected.

Just a good pick for a fleeting trip in La Crosse with best value for money ratio. Drinks and appetizers in the bar were very good, especially the cheese curds.

Everything about this place equals any upscale hotel in downtown Chicago, with a beautiful ambiance that really makes you feel at home. Less than a 5-minute walk to the scenic Riverside Park for leisurely strolls along the water.

The rooms were spacious and comfortable, really liked the old style elevator floor indicator. Had a mocha in the morning in the coffee at The Parlour and it was excellent!
It wasn't exactly cheap, but worth it in the end.

I had a fantastic stay at Charmant while on a business trip. The meeting facilities were excellent, especially the Serenada room, which accommodated my team of 40 comfortably. The staff's attention to detail and professionalism enhanced our experience significantly. The restaurant offered a diverse menu, and the food was both delicious and thoughtfully presented. The ambiance of the hotel was inviting and conducive to relaxation after a long day of work.
No notable negatives during my stay.
